SpaceShipOne

The world witnessed the dawn of a new space age today, as investor and philanthropist Paul G. Allen and Scaled Composites launched the first private manned vehicle beyond the Earth’s atmosphere. The successful launch demonstrated that the final frontier is now open to private enterprise.

A few of us from Northrop Grumman (Aerojet Azusa) went to witness this historic event along with thousands of others. We camped out at the Mojave Airport in order to get a good view of the white knight and spaceship one early in the monday morning. the night before we found a little RV preparty where we kicked up some desert dust while dancing to some techno music! what a day ...

Oregon Coast

hey! what a get together, it's always a good time when the fam gets together and memorial day is no exception. this year we did a little camping on the oregon coast. we visited the traditional tillamook cheeze factory, hung out at the beach, and even did a little outlet shopping. we coined the term "tarptastic" because it was so rainy that we had to cover the whole camp site with tarps!
