New stuff!

This last week Jess and I made some big purchases. A new Honda crv and 2 new iPhones!

So, the family life is setting in. With yearly trips over the pass to Ellensburg and car camping trips sprinkled throughout the year, Jess and I decided that it was time to get an all wheel drive utility car. This car will also come in handy for trips to Lowe's while gathering all the miscellaneous materials for our never ending kitchen project. After about a month or two of contemplation I finally drove around to dealerships at the end of July here to see what kind of year end deals they were willing to provide. After visiting Tacoma and Fife, I finally ended up at Renton who had the biggest inventory for CR-Vs and settled on 21,040 base price for an AWD LX trim CR-V. Just this last weekend we took it down to Eugene and it served us wonderfully!

Our other recent spiffy purchase was 2 iPhones! These very very slick phones practically do everything you would want in a hand held device. The 2nd generation iPhones now surf the internet on the faster 3g network and now have built in GPS. iPhones still has the accelerometer and high quality sound and graphics. The other huge advantage on the new iPhones is that apple has opened up an Developers Kit to anyone who wants to create applications for the iPhone. The power of 3rd party applications leveraging iPhone features such as the accelerometer, gps, and the internet makes the iPhone in my opinion to be the best handheld device to date.
